SDN48 visits Korea to promote themselves

As we reported earlier, SDN48 will be releasing their debut single “GAGAGA” on November 24th simultaneously in both Japan and Korea. Before the release, the girls visited Korea to promote themselves on the 17th and 18th. SDN48 conducted interviews with 8 different Korean media outlets, held events at a music store, and they even recorded a performance for “Mnet’s M! Countdown” program, which is one of the top music shows in Korea.

Although some Japanese artists, such as KAT-TUN, Kuraki Mai, have previously performed on the show, SDN48 was the first Japanese artist to perform on ”M! Countdown” before their debut.

Member Umeda Haruka stated, “It was like a dream to perform on ‘M! Countdown.’ I felt like crying as soon as I entered the studio.” SDN48 members also met Korean group, “4Minute,” a group that’s also promoting in Japan and whom SDN48 said they admire.
